the stone-cut ceramic tile flooring, whose sand coloring alludes to the beach.
In the foyer, a silver-leaf mirror and a black lacquered console with burnished-steel accents reflect the Klonaris’ love of clean lines and modern style. “We wanted pieces that would be welcoming without impeding one’s entrance,” Wolk says.
The “heart” of the home is the Great Room, which combines the living, bar and dining areas into one free-flowing space. Expansive sliding-glass doors and windows catch
every breaking wave of the ocean beyond.

Taking his cues from the pickled-cypress ceiling, Wolk used stained oak throughout the home. “We interchanged dark and light stained pieces throughout the house for added contrast,” he says.
In the living area, an L-shaped sofa hugs a square travertine cocktail table. Seafoam green, blue and yellow silk accent pillows add dollops of soft color.
“I saw the colors of the ocean, sky, shoals and reefs and brought those hues into the sofa through the pillows,” Wolk explains.
While developing ideas for the living area, Nicholas and Pamela had one specific request. “Because we do so much entertaining, we wanted a large bar to be the focal
