Ablend of timeless elegance and sophisticated comfort, this spacious penthouse on Fisher Island in Miami seems more like a stately manor than a vacation retreat. Meticulous architectural details shape the interior, while fine antiques and period furnishings impart a timeworn ambiance.

Upon purchasing the residence, the owner retained architect Cathy Zukerman and designer Laura Sparrow to extensively renovate the Mediterranean-style interior. “Originally, the ceiling was painted with clouds and cherubs, and the floor was stone cold,” Zukerman says. “We gutted the entire apartment to an empty shell.”
