ABOVE: Astainless-steel screen with cobalt-blue inserts marks the entry to
the den/media room. Jordi Prat Pon’s rendering of an artist’s workspace,
“Marc,” hangs above the sofa.
The Great Room, which encompasses the living and dining areas, features saturnia marble flooring with a soft blue vein — subtly referencing the scheme’s accent color as well as providing the design with continuity. To
take advantage of the Great Room’s spaciousness, Ruben created two conversation groupings within the living area. One of the groupings sits beneath track lighting that follows the L shape of the Italian sofas.

Clean-lined armchairs complete the seating, which gathers around a glass-and-iron cocktail table. Across from this is a secondary grouping whose focal point is a work of art by the artist Jamali. “It was one of the earliest works of art the owner acquired, and it set the home’s entire mood,” Ruben says. “She has a
knack for finding the perfect piece for a specific space.”
