Florida Design’s
Television Debut

R ecently, Florida Design was invited to be a guest on “The Rick Sanchez Show,” a local talk and entertainment show that airs on NBC 6. The focus of our segment was on the celebrity homes featured in our magazine. During the interview, Sanchez expressed how much he loved our magazine. “My wife and I used it when redesigning our entire home,” he says.

Television, along with other media, continues to fuel the interior design boom. Magazines, books and television shows about design are more popular than ever. While some cable networks devote their entire lineup to the how-tos of design, other networks make interior design a regular subject on their mainstream shows. It seems this is the “time” for interior design.

Speaking of timing, summer is here. For most, summer brings to mind barbecues, the beach and lazy days in the sun. But for the design industry, it is one of the most important and busiest times of the year.
Whether buying or building a permanent or seasonal residence in Florida, summer is the perfect season to finalize all of your design plans. To ensure homeowners can move into their new homes in the fall, designers look to specify every detail, place orders and secure all suppliers by summer’s end.
