ABOVE: Stainless steel, glass, marble, and maple form the “building blocks”
of the living area and kitchen. On the stairway wall is Victor Bokas’“
Lady Holding Fish.”

But for owners Asheem and Irene Sharma, Coo
Coo Ka Choo is more than just a beautiful, awardwinning home. “It really is our dream house,” Asheem says. “When we first looked at the house, we knew immediately, ‘This is it.’ ”
Looking at the lanai and pool, one feels transported to a private oasis. Specially engineered glass pocket doors between the lanai and living area disappear into the walls, providing uninter-rupted views of the pool from all of the main living areas. Saturnia marble flooring underscores the seamless transition between the lanai and the
interior. “We wanted you to feel as if you’d just entered a five-star resort,” Green says.
To energize the lanai, Miner and Nowfel
placed sleek outdoor furniture in tangerine,

lemon and electric blue hues. “They complement the modern aesthetic ideally,” Miner says.
Furthering the connection between the exterior and interior spaces is the summer kitchen, which is located just off the lanai as well as the living area. A wall of saturnia marble with black granite inlays forms an architectural backdrop for the stainless-steel grill and hood.
Stained maple, another material used throughout, makes a strong statement in the gallery where it accents the columns and form the baseboards.
A floating backlit panel suspends from the ceiling. Just beyond the bench in the gallery, maple reappears in the stairway railing and cabinetry in the kitchen.
