Warm wood cabinetry and cool stainless-steel
appliances imbue the kitchen with a minimalist
aesthetic. “Cooking is something we love to do, so I designed a kitchen that could accommodate both cooks and guests,” Roberts says. The adjacent butler’s pantry provides additional workspace and storage when entertaining.
Roberts continues the home’s theme in the
powder room, choosing two different shades of green glass tiles for the walls. A mahogany vanity with a floating glass top supports a stainless-steel faucet and basin.
When designing the media area, Roberts kept
the focus on comfort. “Because my friends and

I all have small children, I wanted this room — and all the rooms — to be child-friendly,” she says.
A sisal area rug draws together twin sofas upholstered in frisé bouclé, two leather ottomans and an oversized oak cocktail table. Accent pillows in crimson, cream and eggplant hues add pops of color to the sofas.
The media area’s sliding-glass doors access the
patio, where Roberts placed oversized teak chairs and ottomans. Relaxing outside under the shade of beautiful, 200-year-old live oak trees, she and her family enjoy the scenic landscape and “constant show of boats year round,” Roberts says.
