ABOVE: “Lighting is the jewelry of the house. We designed or found 150 light fixtures for the interior,” says Burke, referring to the rusticated-metal and

BELOW: Sconces custom designed by Burke and Peter and antique leather benches from Reymer-Jourdan flank a painting, “Still Life” by Julio Larraz, in a

Identical floor lamps, occasional tables and club chairs balance each side of a cherry-red sofa.
The focal point of the second grouping is a Dubuffet canvas above the fireplace.“This masterpiece
explodes with color and movement, setting
the tone for the living room,” Burke says.

Carol’s 1929 Steinway piano adds a personal

An archway opens to the dining room, which
features two identical sets of tables and chairs.
“When we thought of the palette, chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla came to mind,” Peter says.
