IT’S
A NEW YEAR AND THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT Storms may come and they may go, but the housing market remains strong in Florida. According to a recent report in The Wall Street Journal, the market forgets hazards as quickly as they happen. Housing prices continue to increase, while analysts expect the demand to remain equally as strong. This couldn’t be better news as we head into a new year. Given the booming housing market in Florida, it stands to reason that the forecast for the design and furniture industries looks good as well. Permanent residents continue to build and buyers from around the country continue to come in droves to purchase vacation homes. |
And the “boom”
is not just limited to South Florida. Even in Sarasota, Naples and Tampa,
and up the east coast to Jacksonville, the housing demand is unprecedented.
Hence, the need for sofas, chairs, tables, beds and everything for the
home is greater than ever. A comprehensive resource for “everything for the home” is Florida Design’s Design Sourcebook, which just hit newsstands this fall. Bigger and better, the Sourcebook offers more than 450 pages of fine design and furniture. And this issue of Florida Design remains chock full of designs from coast to coast, further emphasizing the many reasons visitors, vacation homeowners and permanent residents love Florida — the sun, sand and surf. Here’s to a bright future and a Happy New Year! |
