ABOVE: A gilt armchair is one of several antiques in the master suite’s sitting room/library. Murano glass amphoras serve as bases for the table lamps.

BELOW: The powder room, located just off the entry, makes a strong statement with its Japanese river rock backsplash and marble pedestal sink custom
designed by Burke and Peter.

Also planned for entertaining, the kitchen encompasses a breakfast bar, island and butcherblock work station.
A hallway off the kitchen leads to the family
room. For this space, Burke and Peter designed
the sofas, chairs, tables and sconces.
Custom-designed sconces also light up the
powder room. Here, an arched niche frames a
marble pedestal sink.

In the master suite’s sitting room/library,
celadon silk-wrapped walls and silk draperies
contrast with white cabinetry and molding.
The palette continues in the master bedroom,
where Chinese-style, hand-painted silk wall
covering highlights the painting over the bed.
The master suite opens to the patio overlooking the pool. Across the lawn, a grand loggia caps off this magnificent work of art.
