GETTING AWAY FROM
IT ALL IN SOUTH BEACH
Without Straying Too Far From Home,
A Couple’s Vacation Retreat Transports Them To A Place
That Feels Miles And Miles Away

By anyone’s standards, owning an oceanfront
vacation retreat in a world-class, South Florida condominium affords a wonderful place to get away from it all. What makes it even more ideal for Donald and Laura Cohen is that their South Beach getaway is only a 90-minute drive from their Delray Beach home. Located in The Continuum, the apartment takes in panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Brickell Avenue and Port of Miami.

“We wanted a place with the feel of an exotic,
faraway destination, but without the hassle of traveling far to get there,” says Donald, a CPA and noted financial adviser.
After purchasing two adjoining apartments,
Donald worked with the building’s architect on meshing both spaces into one residence.
At Laura’s request, he also oversaw the design process, and enlisted the services of Robert Weinstein whose work he had seen in Florida Design.
