ABOVE: The rounded soffit in the master suite provides a backdrop for the
ceiling fan and lighting, and helps the ‘eye’ prioritize what it sees in the
room,” Weinstein says.

“Before Edward and I really started selecting furniture, we found this dining table and chairs, and knew instinctively they would be perfect for this space,” Weinstein says.
Another rounded soffit in the master suite
draws attention to a mahogany four-poster bed. Woven leather covers the head- and footboard, while hand-woven sisal forms the decorative border of the area rug. Burnished-gold walls and fabrics cast the room in a
warm glow.
Gold, crimson and dark chocolate hues come together in the family room, a popular

gathering spot for the Cohens and their children. Brown leather sofas and an armchair covered in rich goldand- crimson stripes instill the room with the feel of a gentlemen’s club. The maple-wood custom cabinetry with crushed bamboo panels houses a television,
as well as niches for collectibles.
Outside, the wraparound terrace affords privacy for lounging in the sun or dining alfresco. An oasis in the sun, this vacation retreat gives the Cohens the feeling of vacationing in some distant island without straying too far from home.
