In miami, RENOWNED architect Alfred Browning Parker left a legacy of commercial, residential and religious buildings that bear witness to his design philosophy of integrating man-made structures with the natural environment. In 1968, he built his home in Coconut Grove called Wood Song, which many consider to be his hallmark residential design. Comprising three pods connected by walkways, the house melds with the lush foliage surrounding it.

When Parker moved out 20 years ago, subsequent owners did little to preserve the integrity of his unique home. Then, designer Rosemary Albo and her husband, Harvey Oxenberg, bought Wood Song and lovingly repaired the structure. Drawing inspiration from the home’s wooded site, Albo conceived an interior design with a Balinese flair, making this landmark structure one of a kind again.
After a hectic day, designer Lorraine Rogers-Bolton comes home to a sea of tranquility in her new condominium. Throughout the main living areas, Movinque wood paneling and limestone flooring provide a soothing backdrop for an eclectic mix of furnishings.

In contrast, Linda Langsam designed her Boca Raton home with an eye for color and art. Filled with contemporary paintings, art glass and sculptures that are personally meaningful to Langsam and her husband, Bill, the home reflects her soft take on contemporary style.

Cool and upbeat, a music producer’s pied-à-terre resonates with his vibrant personality. Designed by Edward David Nieto, the South Beach apartment affords flexibility for entertaining media personalities and friends.

As you celebrate the holidays with family and friends, we wish you a bright and happy New Year.
