Florida’s Lucrative Furniture Market

The nation’s leading fine furniture showrooms and designers are finding that Florida may be the most profitable market in the United States to do business. One of the factors driving the economy is Florida’s ranking as the No. 1 state in second-home ownership.

Florida has 483,000 second homes — about twice as many as any other state. And when a furniture showroom or designer helps furnish a client’s second home in Florida, they also have the potential to do their primary residence. This translates into a double financial hit that no other state can deliver.

In addition, Florida attracts over 250,000 new residents yearly that, when combined with one of the hottest real estate markets in the country, creates a giant need for home furnishings.
