ABOVE: Yellow cotton with a subtle white diamond pattern from Brunschwig & Fils dresses the chairs in the dining area. Metal rods connect painted Plexiglas panels to form “Geode,” a contemporary work of art by Jennifer Hollack.

This juxtaposition of styles comes together in the Great Room, where a dark-wood cocktail table contrasts with neutral-colored fabrics. A Madagascar natural fiber area rug adds a layer of texture that speaks to the home’s tropical setting.

In the dining area, also on the second floor, upholstered chairs with nail-head trim surround a dark-wood mahogany table. Above the table, a modern light fixture with traditional lampshades complements the contemporary art.

Downstairs, another natural fiber area rug in the cabana room draws together seagrass chairs and an octagonal dark-wood cocktail table.

Located just off the pool area and to the right of the foyer, this airy retreat provides the first impression and sets the relaxed tone of the entire house.
