Antique accessories, such as the candlestick chandelier and table lamps, reference French Empire design in the library.

Dark turns to light in the kitchen, where cream-colored cabinetry and light granite countertops create a neutral backdrop for orchid-print wall covering and plaid fabrics.
Patterns continue to play an important role in the adjoining family room, where an animal-print fabric in a pinkish-red hue dresses the sofa and fashions the window treatments. “Mixing up colors, patterns and 19th-century styles creates a cozy atmosphere,” Leet says.

Less diverse in design but equally eye-catching, the guest suite is draped with green-and-white toile from head to toe. A Victorian balloon-back chair fits the cheery, pastoral mood.
Meticulous and passionate about every de¬ail, Leet tastefully fuses American, Empire and French design elements in this plantation home.
