| While a
unique spiral fixture from the Reids’ collection
swirls above the dining room, vintage chandeliers
from Paris suspend above the living room and music
area — illuminating a baby grand piano that
plays host to many visiting talents. With music being
such a vital aspect of the Reids’ life, “it’s
not a decorative item in this household,” Haim
notes. |
A conversation
grouping centers around an Art Deco cabinet in the
living room. Transformed into a bar, the sculptural
palissandre piece is flanked by bronze torchieres,
chosen for their artisan Deco look. A French Modern
daybed by Jean Royere partitions this intimate seating
mix along with silk-upholstered club chairs. “All
the newly acquired furniture are quality pieces with
an interesting provenance,” Haim says. |
