“It’s a very contemporary marriage of traditional and classic pieces,” Pranich says. “The look is young, fresh and light. It’s a soft, soothing style for Florida.”

Jamali’s paintings, inspired by Asian calligraphy, overlook a conversation grouping of J. Robert Scott sofas and an oversized cocktail table from Nancy Corzine in the living room.

 
 

The palette remains light and bright in the nearby living room, where Pranich maintained an easy elegance with armless chairs and an oversized cocktail table. “It’s an airy look that is a real departure from their more traditional home in Boston and their seaside cottage at the Cape,” he says. A floral area rug grounds the conversation grouping, while soft blue plaid draperies frame the ocean panorama.

To contrast the brightness of the office and living room, Pranich gave the garden-view double dining room a subtle tone-on-tone scheme with celadon silk on the walls and alternating blue and celadon on the chairs. “Two tones are more interesting to the eye than one,” he says.
