To start, Phyllis and William took their cue from
the home’s Mediterranean-style exterior and
added 2,200 square feet to an existing free-standing
trellis. “We kept to the Tuscany style and gave
it a family-friendly focus,” Phyllis says. Creating
a distinctive setting, the new pool house blends naturally
that at once provides privacy and a panoramic vista.
“The charm lies in the proportions and attention
to detail,” William says. The weathered look
of limestone pillars on the outdoor loggia complements
the aged patina of concrete tiling that recalls the
feel of flooring from the 1800s used in Europe.
