IN THIS ISSUE
When fashioning a home for its owners, designers and architects must work in unison to create a look and feel that is perfectly in sync. The following homes prove this by marrying the architecture with the interior design.
Designer Judi Male and architect Raymond Fowler worked in tandem on the design of the cover story, a 7,000-square-foot penthouse, with an additional 7,000 square feet of terrace space, in a luxury Miami high-rise on the water. The owners desired a style befitting the residence’s contemporary surroundings, which resulted in a modern style that showcases their stellar collection of art and mid-century furnishings.
Interior designer Louis Shuster worked closely with the owners of a 6,700-square-foot home in Florida’s Palm Beach County, creating an inviting space with Zen-like Asian influences and a design that emphasizes functionality. Structural renovations included enlarging the master bath and closets, altering the powder room to accommodate an office, and redesigning the kitchen to open it up to both the breakfast and family areas.
