Mollicone and Ferchak designed a striking bar area,
which sits between the sitting area to the left and
the living area in front of it. Comprising an ash-wood
base and a wenge-wood top and sides, the bar invites
guests
to relax in
the taupe-leather swivel barstools. Behind the bar,
glass shelves edged in wenge display mementos of the
couples travels to Africa.
In the adjacent sitting area, the antique Japanese
screen provides the backdrop for a rolled-arm sofa,
an Empire-style occasional table and a steel-drum
cocktail table topped with carrera marble. Oriental
dogwood blooms in a vase near the screen.
