ABOVE: Mosaic tiles add visual interest to the kitchen’s streamlined, anigre-wood cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances. A modern, Italian light fixture over the island accentuates the design’s contemporary flavor.

Just off the living area, a sitting area offers a quiet spot for more intimate conversation. Two lounge chairs with wooden arms and a soft white sofa with cane backing bask in the sunlight.
Outfitted in warm, anigre wood and stainless steel, the kitchen presents the ultimate in form and function. A bi-level island is its centerpiece — the top tier comprising tumbled-marble, tile and mosaic inlays. Barstools pull up to the island, creating an eating area for quick meals on the run. “This has a very comfortable, family-oriented feel to it,” Jim says. “And yet it can easily handle a small crowd of people.”
Adjoining the kitchen is the media area, a comfortable retreat for enjoying music, movies and more. Here, a plush sofa curves around a bi-level cocktail table that adds whimsical flair.

The master bedroom continues the neutral theme with a creamy-white, tan and caramel palette. Uncomplicated in its design, the room bespeaks tranquility. Sheer draperies filter the sun’s rays, creating a softly lit environment.
Adjoining the master bedroom is the master bath, in which cherry-wood cabinetry provides a warm counterpoint to the marble countertops and flooring.
“Every space we walk into calls for something different,” Jim says. “This home reflects the way we addressed the Aragon. I like working with what a building is, and not ignoring the envelope. It provides a sense of place.”
Wrapped in elegance, this condominium on the beach echoes the simple beauty and soothing air of its stunning natural surroundings.
