Coral-colored, woven-cotton sofas join these chairs and others to create two sitting areas. In the middle, a tufted ottoman offers seating in the round. An eclectic collection of cocktail and occasional tables from the owner’s collection enhances the room’s charm and character. “We had so many lovely tables and lamps to work with, and they all seemed to find their home,” Huttig says. Buttery-yellow walls imbue the room with a sunny aura.
Staying true to their goal of “doing whatever we can to not have a boring ceiling,” the design duo added colorful stenciling to the existing pecky-cypress beams.
In the dining room, stepped mahogany molding outlines a paneled ceiling, establishing a more formal air. An exquisite crystal chandelier glows above the mahogany table and chairs.
