ABOVE: Rear windows overlook an expansive lawn and ancient oaks draped in Spanish moss. Owners Dr. Robert and Mary Ann “Pokey” Feldman wanted a home that reflected the natural beauty of their rural hometown.
 
 

Amid the rolling hills of Central Florida, the rural town of Ocala stands out for its natural terrain, blue lakes and horse farms, where sleek thoroughbreds graze in green pastures. Thickets of ancient live oaks shadow the hilly landscape with their Spanish moss-draped limbs.
Nestled within a gently wooded setting such as this is Dr. Robert and Mary Ann “Pokey” Feldman’s home — a sprawling estate that encompasses a 155-acre tree and horse farm.
