oretta and Dan Forer live in the consummate Key West home. From its series of wooden French doors where it is entered, to its total integration with its glorious tropical landscaping, there is no mistaking what it is. The home is at one with the lifestyle of Florida's southernmost island.

The Forer home is framed by giant oaks, avocado and grand old mango trees, remnants of a past incarnation as a mango and avocado plantation. The swimming pool, sited by the former owner 40 feet back from the original patio, serves as a central feature of the landscaping experience. And, what an experience it is! Romantic paths with footbridges weave past lavender orchids and fuschia bougainvillea. Then, the paths meander alongside giant plants, a South Seas bar, and a crystal blue pool. Finally, they trail beside a waterfall and even an Indian Chickee covering a dance floor. But, the pleasure evoked by this scene is not limited to the outdoors.
