ale and Doug Anderson have always enjoyed traveling to Palm Beach and
entertaining in the Worth Avenue apartment that has been a part of their family for years. So when the apartment above
theirs became available, they couldn't resist the opportunity to buy it. With the extra space, they could showcase
their art collection to a greater effect.
Longtime benefactors in the
art world, the Andersons have amassed a collection that includes works by the world's foremost glass artists as well as
other renowned artists. They have served on the board of trustees of the Pilchuk Glass School in Seattle, and regularly
endow the collections of several museums. "We feel that we are temporary custodians of this work and must share it with
as many people as possible," Doug explains.
To display their pieces,
they sought an interior reflective of a fine art gallery. "I never enclose anything," Dale says. "Three-dimensional is
the way we live."
