DIGITAL SPECIFICATIONS
Please give this helpful sheet to your ad designer to save the most amount of money possible on your next ad.
Please provide your ad on disk as we are no longer accepting film*. If you need us to do any of your ad work,
we can accommodate you at a very reasonable rate.

1. Ad must be Macintosh formatted, created in Quark XPress, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or FreeHand. ($39 printer file conversion charge for all new ads). If the ad is not provided per our specifications, there will be a $69 disk alteration charge. *Type created in a bitmap program, such as Photoshop, can look jagged or fuzzy. Type should be done in a layout application like Quark or Pagemaker.

2. Follow specific ad sizing as listed above. Allow for bleeds if applicable.
If ad needs to be resized by us, there is a layout charge.

3. Disk must include all placed or nested images and fonts (Type 1 preferred), including all fonts used in
Illustrator or FreeHand eps’s. If fonts need to be emailed they must be stuffed. Please advise if fonts are PC.

4. Hi-res images must be a minimum of 300 dpi at final size. You cannot resample a file larger than its original size.

5. Images must be saved in TIFF or EPS format in CMYK (if additional channels, please advise).
($69 charge for RGB conversion) In order to properly convert RGB files to CMYK, the Photoshop curves
must be adjusted to match original color tones. Color proof needs to be made after the conversions.

6. File cannot be saved with transfer functions or screening options checked.

7. Ad can be supplied on Zip or CD and MUST be accompanied by disk menu and proof.
We cannot except files larger than 5 megs via email. If a SWOP standard proof is not provided, we will output one for a charge of $89 per page. Our printer requires SWOP standard proofs. Request must be made 6 weeks prior to print date.
*Note: Some color proofs are not necessarily accurate as they are made from different calibrations, inks and papers. If color retouching is required to match your proof and desired color, we will quote you Photoshop time to correct.

8. If the only art you have for your ad is in film, we can copy dot scan your four pieces of film
and create a digital proof for a charge of $99.

WE CAN CREATE YOUR AD
– We need your photo(s), descriptive copy, logo, address, website, phone and fax number.
– Photos can be in the form of transparencies, slides, prints or hi-res on disk.
– Logos must be provided as black and white camera-ready art or hi-res on disk.
