owner says.
To complement the surrounding seascape, Berenson selected a palette of buttercream, golden yellow, tan and taupe accented with pale ocean blue for a hint of color. A medley of textural fabrics, such as silk, taffeta, velvet, raffia and chenille, enrich the look.
In the living and dining areas, the walls are faux painted with a parchment-like effect, which adds to the dimensionality of Berenson’s design. Recessed lighting in the perimeter

soffits gives each area a soft, warm glow.
“To enhance the sleek European feel of the living area, I chose a pair of Art Deco-style, yew-wood lounge chairs and upholstered them in a silk-and-cotton polka dot faille in hues of maize and taupe,” Berenson says. A facing sofa and chaise, each wearing a different taupe-toned fabric, complete the conversation grouping.
