RECORD HOME SALES LEAD TO
FURNITURE BOOM
ccording
to a recent census report, Florida remains the No. 1 place
to relocate for the third decade in a row. And the Sunshine
State’s population is projected to continue to grow
thanks to those moving here from throughout the United States
and abroad.
During the first few months of 2003, counties such as Palm
Beach reported over a 40 percent increase in single-family
housing starts.
Many people from other states throughout the country, in
addition to Latin Americans and Europeans, are heading here
in droves. And it’s no surprise. Florida’s balmy
climate and abundant beachfront property are always magnets
for the rich and famous who appreciate good design.
What does this mean for the design industry in Florida?
The more homes people buy, the more furniture they need
to fill them. To accommodate the growing population, furniture
showrooms anticipate the needs and tastes of their clients,
no matter where they’re moving from.
Like these showrooms, Florida Design appeals to our readers
with designs that showcase the unique style of Florida.
For those who have already moved here or are planning to,
Florida Design provides readers with the opportunity to
see Florida styles that are rarely seen in other national
publications.
