Praising both cities as “important hubs for interior designers and the design community at large,” the top brass at Schumacher has decided Jacksonville and West Palm Beach are prime settings for its showrooms.
Set to open September 2026, both locations have been conceived with local input from area designers. Jacksonville’s 3,000-square-foot outpost (10550 Deerwood Park) was designed by Stephanie Jarvis with a classic American style vibe and nods to traditional Southern elements. West Palm Beach’s larger 6,000-square-foot space (5174 Georgia Avenue) features the talents of Celerie Kemble, who says she drew from her knowledge of local architecture and design history to bring the spirit of the region to life in her design.
The interior architecture of both locations was conceived by designer David Frazier who devised different environments for more than 7,000 signature Schumacher fabrics, wallpapers, and trims, as well as patterns from sister brands Backdrop, Iksel, Decorative Arts, Borastapeter, and Tillett Textiles. Patterson Flynn will have significant presence at both showrooms with made-to-order rugs and artisanal hand-knotted and flat-weave floor coverings. Also common to the two stores will be collections of antiques, pillows, throws, baskets, design books, original artworks, and handmade ceramics.
